Hi,

I have enclosed a few photos of our ride - a Guards Red 1996 Porsche Carrera, along with a pix of Professor Toad himself teaching a TSD rallye school.

An LPR past president (76 & 77), we are recently "rejoined" LPR members after a 30 year hiatus. Yep, we live far away in the land of Boise, but as they say. . . you can't take the "Good Time Region" out of the boy.

Hopefully my infamous reputation has subsided some by now, although a little prodding may bring out some revelations from the Iles, Reeds, Kershaws, Goodwins, Smith's, Herz', Glathes', Czadcecks, Zaccone's or even Paul Smith.

Happy motoring!

Jim Van Dam

Ken & June Iles' new Blue 996.  Ken says "This is 5 minutes after first bringing it home from dealership. Just HAD to have a pic."

The lovely back curves of the The Iles' Blue 996.

Rear View.  Note the Porsche Club of Great Britain membership badge in the center. The membership lapsed because they wanted about 3-1/2 times the cost of PCA annual membership cost!  Editor's Note: The GB on the trunk stands for "Good Bye" which is the last thing people behind him see before Ken steps on the pedal.

TO A PORSHE LOVER:

I WAITED 40 YEARS TO GET IN TO THE CLUB.   I'M NOW A YOUNG 60 YEAR OLD GUY WHO FLEW 4,000 HRS IN ARMY AIRCRAFT AND NOW BELONG TO YOUR CHAPTER.  DRIVING A PORSCHE IS MUCH MORE FUN !!!!  I'M IN SOUTH KOREA WITH THE ONLY GUARDS RED 2005, 997!

THANKS TO YOU ALL IN CAL., YOU ALL MUST TAKE A TRIP TO ELKHART LAKE, WIS. WHERE I SAW MY FIRST PORSCHE IN '63.

TAKE CARE
